Call for abstracts

Abstract submission deadline: 22th November

You are welcome to submit an abstract to the 2017 Banff-SCT Joint Scientific Meeting. The abstract will be reviewed by BANFF-SCT Scientific Committee.

Abstracts must be submitted electronically through the on-line abstracts submission form. No abstracts sent by other means (fax, post, e-mail) will be accepted. Instructions must be followed strictly and those not conforming to the required format will be disqualified.

The personal data of the presenting author must be filled in the submission form. The presenting author must be registered before  15th February. Otherwise, the abstract will be with drown by the Organizers.

15th February 2017 Final day for authors to be registered.*
* Full registration refund until 31st January

After having submitted your abstract, you will receive an automatic acknowledge of receipt by e-mail with your abstract reference number. If you do not receive the acknowledgement receipt e-mail the day of submission, please contact the Congress Secretariat at congress@aopc.es

Abstract language

All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.

General rules

Detailed information about abstract preparation and submission procedures please click on “SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT”, and once there you will on the Menu detailed information about the General rules, Instructions, and Privacy for abstract submission.

If an abstract is accepted, the person designated as the presenting author must attend the Meeting to present the data in person. Acceptance of the abstract implies payment of the registration fee by the presenting author, always before 15th February. Otherwise, the abstract will be withdrawn by the Organizers.

You should structure your abstract using the following headings:

  • Background and aims
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusions: avoid evasive statements like “the findings will be discussed”

Abstract presentation, modification and withdrawals

The presenting author of an accepted abstract must attend and register for the Meeting. All accepted abstracts will be published in an Abstract Book (website on pdf Format and Meeting App).

Should you wish to make modifications to an already submitted abstract, you may use your personal access codes. Corrections to regular abstracts can only be made up to the submission deadline: 22th November.

Requests for withdrawal of an abstract must be received in writing to congress@aopc.es by 15th February to avoid publication in the Program and Book of Abstracts.
